All-natural allergen immunotherapy prescribed by a board-certified allergist for environmental allergies

  • Customized for the idiosyncrasies of your immune system
  • Recommendations based on age, preferences, lifestyle, and finances in the following order:
    1) FDA-approved sublingual (under-the-tongue) allergen extract tablets taken daily at home for 6 months before and during the pollen season, or year-round for several years, with complete or partial insurance coverage; Insurance coverage may be restricted to patients who fail to improve or do not tolerate a 2-month trial of oral anti-histamine and nasal synthetic steroid spray.
    2) FDA-approved traditional subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy injections (allergy shots) taken in our office weekly for 9 months, then monthly for 5 years, with complete or partial insurance coverage;
    3) FDA-unapproved sublingual (under-the-tongue) allergen extract drops taken daily at home for 6 months before and during the pollen season, or year-round for several years, with NO insurance coverage (payment by cash only).  This treatment will only considered after all FDA-approved options have been exhausted.

Synthetic allergy symptom-relieving medications MAY be used, but only until the allergen immunotherapy becomes effective (about 3 months for tablets and drops under the tongue, and about 9 months for allergy shots), then discontinued.  Most synthetic allergy medications are now available over-the-counter with no insurance coverage (payment by cash).

Asthma controller and reliever therapy in accordance with national guidelines.

All-natural allergen immunotherapy prescribed by a board-certified allergist for venom (stinging insect) allergies.
